"Black Radio Backstage" with Robert Glasper (2 minute read)

 Five-time Grammy Award-winner Robert Glasper pulls back the curtain on his illustrious career while sharing laid-back, candid conversations with his A-list friends.

Co-hosted by DJ Jahi Sundance, the two create the relaxed yet electric experience you’d find backstage at one of their sold-out shows. Old pals can catch up, banter, and reminisce on their journey through showbiz.

“Black Radio Backstage” features an incredibly gifted cast for season 1, including Terrace Martin, Lalah Hathaway, Thundercat, BJ the Chicago Kid, Affion Crockett, and Kareem Grimes. 

‍

This original series features all original music produced by Robert Glasper and Jahi Sundance. Season 1 is filled with music, laughs, and amazing storytelling that takes the viewer on a journey, unlike any other talk show, with curated segments that include the following:

• “Accidental genius” is a story where something that started off bad ended up being very good, your accidental genius moment.

‍

• “Weird Science” we are living in the future, and you have the chance to create your spouse in a lab using five albums that will be the cornerstones of their life. Name them.

‍

• “What’s on your rider” Pretty self-explanatory but is it weird, are you picky and if not what are some of the craziest riders you have seen?

‍

• “Rapid fire” basic questions with a twist, hmm, like what kind of _____do you watch? 

‍

BRB launches with American musician, rapper, singer, and record producer Terrace Martin on June 19th. Robert and Terrace go way back to jazz camp in high school through to working on incredible records together.
