Toronto Raptor, Danny Green’s Live Podcast Recording Sold Out in Halifax
Newly-acquired Toronto Raptor Danny Green was in Halifax, Nova Scotia this week with his podcast team to perform the first ever live recording of Inside the Green Room. Joined by his co-host Harrison Sanford and producer Amjed Osman, the trio put on an entertaining display for the packed auditorium at The Canadian Immigration Museum at Pier 21
The short trip to the east coast was Green’s “official welcome to Canada” according to his co-host. Fans of all ages piled into the intimate venue to catch an up close glimpse at one of Toronto’s newest sharp shooters. The evening was full of laughs, excitement and not without the odd Kawhi question added into the mix.
At one point, they were joined by Sportscentre analyst, Michael Grange via Skype. The pair had an amusing conversation by discussing the future of the Raptors organization and reminiscing on Green’s early days in the league. This was followed by a segment that featured some Canadian trivia to test how well he knows his new home country. He scored above his free throw percentage last year, so it’s safe to say the guy will do just fine in Canada.
After the show Green got a taste of the city - quite literally. We took him for donairs and poutine, although it garnered mixed reviews from the American-born team. Regardless, we are pleased to have hosted him and hope to see him back again for the Tidal League Tournament next summer!
Thank you to everyone who came out to show - we hope you enjoyed yourselves! We look forward to continuing to bring elite basketball attention to Halifax. Stay tuned for more events like this.
